How to use EM for pools & hot tubs

As opposed to natural or lined ponds, swimming pools & hot tubs pose other demands with regard to improvements in water quality, as natural water cleansing by means of plants or animals does not occur.
The anticipated “initial deterioration” when EM-A is first used in natural or lined ponds, involving a clouding of the water due to the additional formation of floating algae would be undesirable in a swimming pool.
Indeed, whether or not so-called green or brown floating algae form in swimming pools and the speed at which they can be reduced, depends primarily of the nutrient and micro flora content of the water and sunlight levels. In particular, such a reaction can be expected once concentrated chlorine is no longer used.

For this reason, the employment of EM-A is not recommended unreservedly.
The use of natural salt, for which dosing devices are available on the market, in combination with EM-X ceramic pipes has proved to be an optimum solution.

Effects of salt dosing:

Salt (chem.. formula: NaCl) consists of two elements sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl). An electrical impulse in the salt dosing device splits the sodium chloride into sodium and natural chlorine.

Sodium is one of the most strongly reactive elements and combines with the ambient water immediately to form sodium hydroxide. In turn, this reacts with the chlorine to form salt and sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl). In swimming pools, this compound releases its oxygen (O), in order that it can be converted back into salt (NaCl). Natural chlorine results.

Quantity: 1. Number of EM-X ceramic pipes (grey pipes/35 mm pipes) according to the water volume (see table in the ceramic brochure)
2. Natural salt: see the information from the dosing device manufacturer
3. Should EM-A be used, use 0.01% of the water volume with regular, small additional doses.
Timing: 1. EM-X ceramic pipes are best used from the begin of filling at a point where the water is in motion
2. Natural salt: see the information from the doing device manufacturer
3. Should EM-A be used, use from the start of the swimming season and continue as required
Method: 1. Position EM-X ceramic pipes in filters, skimmers and in places where the water is in motion
2. Natural salt: see the information from the doing device manufacturer
3. Should EM-A be used, put it into the water near the circulatory pump
