How to use EM for cattle

Cattle rearing

Stall fumigation:

Every 2 days in the first month, subsequently twice weekly

  • 1 l EM-A/25 cattle
  • In the cold months dilute with the technically required water volume
  • In the warm months dilute 1:10 with water

Foot care:

1 l EM-A in foot dip for 20 cattle.
Change the dip daily in the first month, then every second day.


Stall preparation

Clean thoroughly with a high-pressure spray. Evenly spray 1 l/m2 1:4 EM-A solution (0.2 l EM-A + 0.8 l water) throughout the stall. Do not forget the ventilation shafts, roof vents, etc.


Liquid manure and dung handling

Add a minimum of 1–2 l EM-A/m3 material (depending on the content of the ingredients) to solid manure via the liquid manure/dung duct once a week.
The addition of ultra fine, alkaline silicate stone meal is recommended (dosage: 3 kg/m³).


EM-A for pastureland

In addition to EM-A fermented liquid manure and dung, spread 200l EM-A/ha/year (divide among the individual cuts, e.g. in the case of four growth periods, 50 l EM-A per period). Add EM-A to the commercial fertiliser spread or dilute 1:5-1:10 with water and apply with a well-cleaned sprayer.

Apply in the morning or evening, but not in strong sunshine.


Use of EM-A FKE and EM-FKE Bokashi for dairy cattle

Quantities:

0.4-0.7 % EM-A FKE is added to the dry mass feed intake (power feed, hay, silage);

1st month: 150 ml/cow/day,
subsequently: 75 ml/cow/day
The antioxidants in EM-A FKE increase the stability of the ground cereal.

In stress situations:

0.5 kg EM-FKE Bokashi/cow/day is administered additionally as a top dressing.


Use of EM-A FKE and EM-FKE Bokashi for calves

Quantities:

0.4-0.7 % EM-A FKE is added to the dry mass feed intake (milk, power feed, hay, silage, etc.);

1st month: 15 ml/day,
subsequently: 10 ml/day

In stress situations:

0.15 kg EM-FKE Bokashi/calf/day is administered additionally as a top dressing.


Use of EM-A FKE and EM-FKE Bokashi for young cattle

Quantities:

0.4-0.7 % EM-A FKE is added to the dry mass feed intake (power feed, hay, silage):

Young cattle < 1 year: 1st month: 50 ml/day,
subsequently: 20 ml/day

Young cattle | 1 year: 1st month: 100 ml/day,
subsequently: 40 ml/day

In stress situations:

0.3 kg EM-FKE Bokashi/young animal/day is administered additionally as a top dressing.


Use of EM-A FKE and EM-FKE Bokashi for beef cattle

Quantities:

0.4-0.7 % EM-A FKE is added to the dry mass feed intake (milk, power feed, hay, silage, etc.);= 45 ml/animal/day

In stress situations:

0.3 kg EM-FKE Bokashi/animal/day is administered additionally as a top dressing
